After college at UNK I have lived in Omaha, Lincoln, David City, Alliance, McCook and back to Kearney! But Jim and I have been back "home" since 1986 and even in the same house on Cottonmill Lake for 15 years.
We have 3 sons - Jason is Lt. Col., pilot& commander of the B-2 squadron. He and his wife have all 4 of our grandchildren: Cole 10, Kathryn 8, Caroline 4, and Reece 2. What a fun bunch, but never very close with the Air force. Josh is registered nurse- first assist. He and his wife live in Portland and both have settled down from some great traveller jobs (new Zealand -Mammoth Lakes, CA) to be surgical nurses. No kids yet... too busy kayaking and bicycling. Jeremy & his wife Angela caqme back to Minden about two years ago. He spent 10 years as a C-130 Pilot, but now has joined our financial planning business and is a great help. Imagine working with your husband AND your son....We actually do just fine most of the time.

Hello Everyone!
What a wonderful website. Thank you, Richard and Margaret, for the gentle prodding.
I have been married for 43 years to Mark who is also a KHS graduate. We have three children. Our daughter Melissa and her husband have Emily and Joe and reside in Raleigh, NC. She is a very busy stay-at-home mom. Bridget, our second daughter, resides in Staunton, VA and has our youngest grandchild, a sweet baby girl named Keagan. She has been a graphic designer for the local newspaper for the past nine years.. Our son, Patrick, served in Kuwait and Iraq and is now the Inventory Manager at the Johns Hopkins Health Systems in Baltimore, MD. He and his wife have Ella and Julia. All three families reside less than four hours from our home. How great is that?
We have lived the majority of our married life in the Mid-Atlantic states. Mark took early retirment after having spent many years within university and college systems as vice-president for advancement We downsized and moved into a town-home in the Richmond area. Travels abroad have taken us to Spain, Italy and Ireland. Most of our flights were via military standby and some were nail biting adventures. In addition to spending time with our children and grandchildren I enjoy gardening, hiking, birding and reading, especially, while at the beach.

Hello Classmates,Where has the time gone? After graduation I worked at several jobs like everyone does when we were young. I was in construction and did some drywall work for different companies in the Kearney area. After a few years, I decided to start my own business, Baer's Drywall Service. That lasted for 33 1/2 years. I am tired of working, so I retired this year January, 2009 when we took our home phone out of service. My hobbies are with my amateur radios, my call is KAØDBK I am the Emergency Coordinator for Buffalo County. We do all the weather spotting for Kearney and Buffalo County when severe weather comes. This last June, I was nominated Ham of the year for 2008 out of 4500 Hams in Nebraska. January 2009 I was presented a very nice plaque for my service to Amateur radio from the American Radio Relay League in Connecticut. We do a lot of camping in the summer and enjoy the outdoors. My wife Peggy, for 45 years is retired now from insurance work so we can take the camper and see the country. We have two boys Eddy and Jim. Eddy is a fire fighter for the City of Kearney and Jim is a massage therapist in Kearney. Hope to see everyone at the class reunion.
